The Garda Riviera and Morenic Hills Consortium
In the heart of Northern Italy lies an enchanting land, characterized by its
Mediterranean microclimate making it the ideal holiday destination whatever the
time of year. The area we are talking about of course is Lake Garda, the largest
lake in Italy.
Along the brescian riviera at the southern end of Lake Garda, lies the Commune
of Sirmione, Desenzano del Garda, Lonato del Garda and Pozzolengo all of which
offer visitors something special. There are a great many experiences available
within these villages that offer not just a taste of true Italian hospitality
but also excellent wines and mouthwatering traditional dishes; the possibility
to practice sports outdoors; relaxation and wellbeing in the thermal spas well
as their rich history and culture.
The Garda Riviera and Moreniche Hills Consortium can be found within the area
of Brescia which, runs down from the Sirmione peninsula to Desenzano and Lonato
del Garda. It is close to the province of Montova in the district of Pozzlengo,
known as the gateway to the Morenic hills.
The lake, the thermal spas, the hills and the mild climate are just a few of
the characteristics which make the Garda Riviera the ideal destination for all
ages whether older or young.
A vast number of attractions can be found here – from the food and wine to facilities
that offer relaxation and wellbeing – this land is truly unique. The Garda Riviera
is an enchanting area to discover, with its colors, long walks and natural landscape.
Those who desire relaxation will also be more than happy here, whatever time of
the year.
Members
In 2004 the villages in Desenzano, Lonato, Pozzolengo and Sirmione got together
with a collection of private associations in the hospitality industry and created:
The Associazione Albergatori Sirmione; Consorzio Albergatori e operatori turistici
di Desenzano del Garda; the Terme di Sirmione Spa (in the health and wellbeing
sector) and the Consorzio tutela Lugana doc (representing traditional cultural
and commercial products). These groups have all have united to firmly establish
the Consortium, which aims to publicize this land’s rich resources to tourists
both within Italy and abroad.

Garda Riviera’s ethos.
